Bloggers Against Censorship

Bloggers Against Censorship was set up to collate information about and influence opinion against the Indian Government's apparent notice to various ISPs to block blogs hosted on blogspot.com and typepad.com. All Yahoo! Geocities web sites have also been blocked by most Indian ISPs since July 1, 2006.

There are many questions raised by these actions. This effort is aimed at nothing less than ensuring the Government will never again do something like this. There should be no site or group of sites that they will ever again be able to block; in fact, there should be no book they will ban, no infringement on freedoms at all ever again. It is against our constitutional Right to Freedom of Speech and Expression.

This wiki was initiated to become a central resource around this issue, by the Bloggers Collective group which is collating and disseminating information on this issue. You can either join the e-mailing list or subscribe to RSS Feeds.

This is a current event, and new developments take place regularly. In addition, most of what appears on these pages is being compiled from a variety of sources: weblogs, press reports, personal information-gathering, and the Bloggers Collective. So the information presented changes often, is frequently updated, and not always verifiable, though we're making every effort to present only fact.

Friends Forever: Few lessons I relearnt recently

Here are few things which I have experienced in friendship:

a. The first two words called "trust and respect" are the key of any friendship.

b. Sometimes few things which u might just ignore while doing can hurt other person a lot unwantedly

c. If u don't implement anything in ur life from ur idealogy then that idealogy is waste.

d. respect others and try to understand their feelings. more necessary in the case when that person is ur friend and cares for you.

e. It's very difficult to find good friends and very simple to loose them. Respect ur friendship and appreciate it's value.

f. Friendship is something which comes from mutual interest/understanding/caring, if u think u have a friend then care for that person, understand that person, help that person........ that's what friendship is all about.

g. U never know when ur life is going to make an end and u can't change it. but u ofcourse make it as large and beautiful as u want. Most of the time it doesn't take more then a smile and a real friend to do the same.

h. Don't hurt anybody from heart. It's a SIN. If u hurt ur friends themselves it doesn't really matter how do u behave to unknowns.

i. If you think somebody is your friend make him/her realize it that you value your friendship and you are honoured to have a friend like him/her.
